From early spring to late autumn, we carefully take care of the inhabitants of our garden: we plant, water, feed. But as sometimes happens, nature makes its own adjustments to our efforts. And the ant with its large family is not the most welcome guest on our estates. In the garden itself, where the soil is dug up, loosened, row-spacing is cultivated, there is simply no chance for insects to create their homes. But near the garden, in hidden places, near supports and fences, near buildings, it is not difficult to find an anthill. It is the timely discovered community of ants, when only preparations are underway for the creation of their dwelling, that is the basis for a successful fight against these insects. When the first signs are found, the anthill must be carefully leveled, the earth loosened or dug up and sprinkled with quicklime, the so-called "fluff".
The anthill can be found only on the surface devoid of thickets, weeds. Therefore, timely weed control is one of the methods for preventing the appearance of ants in the garden.

It's not hard to cook them either. By mixing equal amounts of boric acid, powdered sugar and flour, kneading and rolling into small balls, we will make a wonderful “delicacy” for insects. Such a tool is not terrible to use in gardens and vegetable gardens, it is completely harmless. The uneaten bait will serve as a boron top dressing for garden crops.
If the estate was abandoned for a long time, the garden was not cultivated, weeds flooded the entire area without “heavy” chemistry.
